The monitoring system gives real-time data on the behavior of the concrete containment and its steel liner. Ensuring leak-tightness are traditional sensors (in particular vibrating wire) and fiber optic sensors.

Many products were used for this project : more than 500 conventional sensors (vibrating wires strain gauges and load cells), pendulum systems, temperature and humidity sensors, rotary switching panels and complete central measurement units. In addition, over 1,500 meters of distributed fiber optic sensors (for the measurement of strain and temperature along the liner), a central measurement unit with customized software for the treatment, visualization and storage of the measurement data were used to monitor the power plant.
